Father's Day Around The Corner

Hello again Ladies,

Well its getting to be that time of year when we have to be creative and get our husbands, and fathers a Fathers Day gift. What do you get a man that has everything or just goes and buys what he wants when he wants it? That is the question I ask myself every year. Well I'm not going to pretend that I have it all figured out, because I don't. However, I have an idea of where to start. Pinterest is always a great place to find ideas on that unique gift for you and the kids to make. There are a ton of great ideas for kids to do, the one I liked was this and you could even go a step further writing "YOUR THE BEST DAD, HANDS DOWN!"

This year I either have it really easy this year or really hard. Its my wedding anniversary and Fathers day. My husband calls it a combo gift, because I usually get a birthday/anniversary combo gift. But this year its his turn. Anyway, I suppose I should make it special. June is a very busy month for us, as I'm sure it is for your families as well. With school ending just around the corner the next challenge is where to put the kids for the summer. Do you put them in YMCA Day Camp, daycare, family members, neighbors? Well if you haven't thought about it yet, now is the time.

On my agenda this month - 2 birthday parties at my house, Fathers Day, Hoopfest weekend June 28, 29th, BBQ's, and lots of baseball. Hopefully life will slow down...... :-)

Have a great week ladies and just know there are a LOT of women out there who do 80% while there other 1/2 does 20% (at least the women I know) So keep up the good work!

How did you know your child had diabetes? Know The Symptoms (It Could Save a Life)

How did you know your child had Type 1 diabetes? Parents of children with diabetes will hear this question asked a million times. And each time you tell your story the story gets shorter and shorter. You begin to leave out details. Details that may one day save another child's life. I wrote this for a couple of reasons. The first reason was to document the details and help other families who are searching for answers to unexplained symptoms. The second reason was to really get my emotions off my chest, and reflect.

December 30, 2016 is a day I will never forget.  This date will now be forever know to us as Carter's "dia-versary."This was the day my seven year old son Carter was diagnosed with Type one Diabetes. I still tear up when I say or even write those words... my son was diagnosed with T1D. It all kind of happened so fast really. It was Christmas break 2016 and the kids were home for a couple of weeks. Things were normal as usual, stress right before a holiday,…

Why I Love Living In Liberty Lake, WA

Lots of people can tell you they love their neighborhood. But can they tell you why and convince you to move there? I don't think many folks can do that, unless you live in Liberty Lake, WA. I've lived in Washington my entire life and I've never quite found a city like Liberty Lake.

I LOVE living in Liberty Lake, WA. We have everything we need within a short distance including: The Home Depot, Walgreens, Albertsons, Starbucks, post office, library, Liberty Lake Athletic Club, churches, our own winery (www.libertylakewinecellars.com), multiple parks, playgrounds, walking tails and restaurants (The Cork House & Hay Jay's are two personal favorites). We even have our own newspaper The Liberty Lake Splash to keep us up to date on all the events in our area. And to top it all off Liberty Lake was voted the 8th safest city in WA www.safewise.com/blog/50-safest-cities-washington . Here are just a few of the community events that make Liberty Lake special for me and my fa…
