Have you ever just had one of those days or even weeks where everything that could go wrong does go wrong? I'm having one of those weeks where it just feels like money is being sucked from every which direction no matter what I do. An unexpected trip to the doctor, furnace/AC goes out, you need car repairs, your in the middle of a home project that requires time and money, you get a red light ticket in the mail from a camera, your child needs braces, your spouse is going on a business trip to Europe and needs extra cash for the extra week the work isn't paying for, and the list goes on..... Sometimes it just feels like everything hits you at once and everyone needs your full attention....I think I read if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger. Well I feel like I am strong enough! Just want to give a HUGE shout out to Alaska Airlines ​ . Talk about customer service. I experienced it multiple times on my trip. First experience was on my trip from Seattle to New Orleans. I was not feeling well and the stewardess asked if I would like a tums and ginger ale. That settled my stomach and I felt sooo much better. Next was on the flight from New Orleans to Seattle.  A friend was seated in a window seat and she is extremely claustrophobic, she asked the attendant if she could switch and he said he will do his best to switch her to an aisle seat. He must have called 10 names before someone finally agreed to switch. He could have just said no and not try but he did. WOW! Lastly - Having a terrible cold and flying I wasn't at peak performance. I checked my bag and forgot to tell AA that I had another flight scheduled into Spokane. So my options were to grab my bag and go back through security and HOPE & PRAY the plane didn't leave (Miss my fight) or get on my f

There is lots of Free stuff online if you just look for it. I've been looking lately and found many sites that offer free samples, coupons, and gift cards. Now some of these sites ask you to take survey's and you can accumulate points which can then be used to purchase gift cards. Now if your a stay at home Mom with a little guy or gal and they still take naps, you can use that time to unwind and search for the deals or take online surveys. Also Amazon is a great place to search for FREE stuff. They always have listing of books to download to your kindle app for free. My girlfriends and I do a cooking group once a month,. The host is in charge of buying all the ingredients getting the recipes picked out, and printed for all to take home. This next meal I'm going to be cooking in the crock pot is Pineapple Chicken, but it's definitely missing something....So I went online to see what I could pair with Pineapple Chicken and EatingWell.com had great ideas and here is what I came up with. Grilled teriyaki chicken with pineapple can be made with just a few pantry staples. Although it's delicious when made with canned pineapple, fresh pineapple and its juice can easily be used in its place. Lots of people can tell you they love their neighborhood. But can they tell you why and  convince  you to move there? I don't think many folks can do that, unless you live in Liberty Lake, WA. January 9, 2015 is a day our family will never forget. Today our son, Carter got the gift of hearing. You & I take this for granted but when you see a smile on a child's face who has heard sounds for the first time it's an amazing feeling. Carter's hearing aids are Seattle Seahawks colors which he is so very proud of. In this picture you can see he's clapping and making sounds and just taking it all in.   Carter (age 5) has been slow with his speech & drops a lot of the S, Th, Ch sounds. We always suspected something was not right but each pediatric visit they reassured me that he was fine. Finally when he had his kindergarten shots I said to the pediatrician I am really concerned with his speech. He barley just started speaking if full sentences and kindergarten is around the corner. So I paid to take him to a speech therapist who again reassured me that his speech was fine. Then in kindergarten this year Central Valley School District (CVSD) did
